The company
Micromec GmbH was founded in 1989 by Dipl. lng. Heinz Wolter, the former technical managing director of DOM Sicherheitstechnik, and has since been one of the leading technology companies for highly complex assemblies in the field of locking systems.
From the very beginning, the focus has been on maximising vertical integration and, by developing the products in-house, the optimum choice of technology can be taken into account and guaranteed at an early stage.
In the mid-1990s, we introduced a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001.
In 2010, the then still small mould construction was significantly expanded and since then, in addition to tools for our own products, injection moulding and punching tools have been built on behalf of customers.
The construction of the new office wing and the large production hall in 2014 enabled the production area to be significantly expanded. Due to the growing order volume, a new CAD/CAM system was purchased at the beginning of 2016 and a design engineer was hired. As an equity-financed company, Micromec has been a secure and reliable business partner on the market from the outset.
